Why are AI characters unlimited on Free and Pro? Those plans are bounded by their lifetime string quotas instead. Team and Scale carry much larger string quotas, so sustained monthly volume is metered in characters.
No. The local check and the open GitHub Action run on every plan, free included. Team and Scale add Polyglot Automation — native Checks, shared review, and translation PRs opened for you.
Your quota counts distinct source strings, once each — it never resets month to month. Re-running translations on strings you've already translated doesn't use more of it. The only monthly number is the AI character allowance.
On Team, all five seats can review. Scale adds custom seat counts and reviewer roles. Either way, generated translations wait for a human approval before they ship.
Polyglot Automation stops — checks, catalog sync, and translation PRs. The CLI and the open Action keep working on every plan, and stored data ages out on the retention windows listed on the security page.
